The Center has been created thanks to the Project supported by the European Union through the Regional Development Fund. Community Initiative comunitaria Interreg IIIA Italia Slovenia 2000/2006 Regional Project Coast to Coast - Section: Creation of a Visitor Center and Congress Hall/Auditorium in the area of the Po Delta.
The structure is situated at the entrance of Porto Viro, at the exit from S.S Romea. It is the technological showcase of the Park: it includes a huge diorama with the reproduction of the Po Delta, a meeting hall, an info point, and is equipped with giant touch-screens and Internet access to give tourists the first information on the Park.
